The Asylum

I can't remember this show, except for one thing. I had terrible monitor problems and yelled and screamed at the monitor guy all night. I called him terrible things, gave him the finger, and was just a general ass to the guy.

Although Daddy Long Legs wasn't playing this tour, because of financial reasons, he turned up at this show, surprising all of us. It turns out, this would be his last show with us. The show was alright, but there was definitely some tension with Daddy. The fact that he couldn't do the tour, really upset the rest of us.

Yet another description that you will have to wait for Jimmy Pop to write.

Evil Jared came up with his rendition of the town's name quickly today, Ft. LotsO'Tail. There are a lot of girls here, I guess its the beach community thing. Right before we went onstage tonight, Jimmy Pop came into the dressing room and expressed concern over performing "She Ain't Got No Legs" tonight. When questioned as to why he would think this, Jimmy's reply was simple, "Go look out by the merch booth." We all did and there he was; a man in a wheelchair with no legs.

Stone Lounge

This is another show that I remember little of, thanks to alcohol for that one. We all await Jimmy Pop's fine explanation of it. When I have it, I'll post it here.

As usual, I can't remember shit (I'm trying to write these about 7 years after they happened. Back when we played these shows we didn't have Diary Of A Madman to think about.). Jimmy Pop said he'll write something about it. I guess we'll all have to wait.

All day we did promotion in Athens, which if you ever get the chance to check out, you should. Most of the promotion consisted of us sitting in a bar having a beer and chatting with people from radio, retail, and press, but it wasn't anything like the promotion we do these days. We played with a band called Funk-O-Matic tonight and I'll never forget the one song they played.

Masquerade

The Masquerade is an old mill of some sort and an awesome building to have a club in. The place was immense, but of course when we played there weren't that many people there, although there were more than normal. Strangely enough, it was also goth night here (as it was in Jacksonville, Florida) so we spent most of the night watching them dance. I also remember sitting in a downstairs bar watching Outbreak (with Dustin Hoffman saving the world from infected monkeys).

Covered Dish

Tonight we played at Brett's (manager) old ala matter, University of Florida in Gainesville. The place (once again) was more like a dance club. His old buddy Jeff (who last I knew worked at Capitol Records) hooked us up with a place to stay, but it was so slimy that none of us wanted to sleep there. I remember seeing roaches on the floor, but back then, that's the way we had to live. The show was a bit better than normal on this tour, I think in part because of Brett and his old friends.

Milkbar

A show that I will never forget. Tonight we played with a local band named Limp Bizkit. That's right kids, that Limp Bizkit. We showed up for the show and they were already there. Really nice guys and knew the club and surrounding area very well.
