Another show with Sugar Ray tonight. We hung out with them a lot more and to this day they still remember this show. E! Television was filming them for the Howard Stern show and if you ever catch the episode you can see M.S.G., Jimmy Pop, and SkipO'Pot2Mus on stage with them.

Tonight we met Sugar Ray and the Lordz Of Brooklyn. Sugar Ray were awesome. They were touring to promote their record, Lemonade and Brownies and I feel in love with them the minute I heard them play. They were really cool guys and hung out with us during the night. I've told people a million times in the past that I stole all of our early guitar stuff from Rodney (their guitarist).

Time for the annual Woxfest. Evil Jared's house organizes an annual outdoor show in their backyard, so he asked us to play. It was pretty much just like his house parties except more bands and more sunshine. I bumped into some guys I knew from school, they were in a band called Feces Pieces, which made me laugh hysterically.

I don't remember anything about this show. Years later, I met Chino Moreno from the Deftones and was talking to him and he said he remembered playing a show with us in Philly once. I mentioned it to Jimmy Pop and he told me that it was this show. The only band I could remember playing this show was Trip 66, a local Philly band with a girl singer. She was gorgeous and everyone in the world loved her, but her brother was in the band and apparently he was very proctective of her. I guess the show was pretty dull if I don't remember anything about it. Either that or I'm just stupid. I'll take the latter.

104 KRBE Show

Columbia Records flew us down to Houston, Texas for some promotion. We were all excited. It rained every few minutes, a complete downpour, then it would get sunny for awhile, then it would go back to rain. It was really weird weather. While we were driving down the highway (in two cars) to an interview, we decided to play bumper cars. Not a good idea on a freeway, but it was funny at the time. Brett (our manager) didn't think it was too funny. The show itself was more of an appearance than anything, kind of like the one we recently did in Providence, Rhode Island.

A local Philadelphia show, but this time at the Trocadero. The "Troc" as its affectionately called by those in the area, is a great club. Its one of the many old theatres in the country that have been converted to a venue. I have seen so many shows here it isn't funny. Soundgarden, Danzig, Helmet, L7, Dinosaur Jr., Quicksand, and Mudhoney just to name a few. So I'm pretty excited about playing this show. The show went really well and the crowd was into it, of course most of the crowd consisted of people that we knew, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

Kix 106 Show

This wasn't a show, it was a joke. It was also a great example of what Columbia Records thought of us. We played a four song set at a dance club full of guidos and girls that could have easily been from the Jersey shore. It was terrible. Only good thing about it was getting drunk and acting like rockstars. Everyone thought we were super famous, so they all wanted to talk to us and buy us drinks, but this just wasn't our style. Apparently Columbia thought we were more of an urban/pop band than what we thought of ourselves as; a bunch of dirty white trash guys that liked metal, rap, and punk. Oh well, lesson learned. Well, not yet.

Another hometown show in a small club downtown. What sets this one apart from everything else is J.V. (Jerry Vandergrift of "I Wish I Was Queer So I Could Get Chicks" fame). J.V. has always been a nut case. Before the show started we were all hanging around out front talking to friends and a black homeless guy kept bugging everyone for money. He was being a real pain in the ass and J.V. had finally had enough. He asked the guy if he realized who he was talking to and explained to him that we were a huge rock and roll band.

This in-store, much like the last one, left little impression on me. What did leave an impression on all of us was the ride home. You see, we got bored, so we decided to play a little game. MSG and I were riding in the mini-van and Jimmy Pop and Daddy Long Legs were driving in another car. So on the trip down the highway, Daddy thought it would be funny to piss in a cup and get in front of us and throw it out his window so it would splash our mini-van.

I don't remember much about this or the next "show" cause they really weren't huge shows or anything. They were just small in-stores at some record stores in North Carolina. I remember the ride being hot and annoying and being impressed that they stores had posters of us, which impressed us all.
