Another hometown show in a small club downtown. What sets this one apart from everything else is J.V. (Jerry Vandergrift of "I Wish I Was Queer So I Could Get Chicks" fame). J.V. has always been a nut case. Before the show started we were all hanging around out front talking to friends and a black homeless guy kept bugging everyone for money. He was being a real pain in the ass and J.V. had finally had enough. He asked the guy if he realized who he was talking to and explained to him that we were a huge rock and roll band.
So what does the homeless guy do? He asks for J.V.'s autograph. J.V. takes a piece a paper, scribbles on it, then hands it to the guy, acting dead serious about it. The guy proceeds to flip out screaming obscenities and saying he's never been so insulted in his life, telling J.V. he's going to beat his ass, and slowly walks across the street, continuing his screaming all the way. J.V. is in hysterics and Jimmy Pop asks him what's so funny. J.V. hands Jimmy the piece of paper he wrote on. J.V.'s autograph? Nothing on the paper except the word "nigger". J.V. could have gotten his ass beat, but didn't and didn't even care. Gotta love J.V., he's always bold like that.
